etiology: lice
presentation:
-pediculosis humanus capitis: head lice-pruritis on scalp
-pediculosis corporis: body lice - mainly homeless, pruritus and excoriations on trunk and neck, Nits found in seams of clothing
-pediculosis pubis: pubic lice - STI
Dx: ID of adult lice and nits
Tx: permethrin, hot water for clothing

etiology: arthropod bites, allergic hypersensitivity. Fleas, bedbugs
presentation: pruritic, urticarial papules
- fleas
- bed bugs: groups of three
- mosquitos

etiology: scabies mites
presentation: intense itching at night, slightly elevated, pinkish white, commonly in webbed spaces of fingers, flexor surfaces, scrotum, areolae
Dx: skin scrapings, ID mites and eggs
Tx: Wash beddings, pesticide
