Q

How would you this in cartesian form?
x= 1 + 2t / t
y= 5 - t / t^2

A

rearrange x= 1 + 2t / t to make t the subject
–> t = 1 / x-2
then sub this into y=5-t/t^2

Q

Given that dy/dx = 4t^3 - 6t^2, and when t=3/2, x=0.5
find d^2 y/dx^2 ?

A

do a bucket test
from q t=1.5
so in bucket test put t values as t=1.4, t=1.5 and t=1.6
from q x=0.5
so in test put x values as x=0.4 x=0.5 and x=0.6
put this into dy/dx
match first t and first x together
find dy/dx, state if its positive or negative
