Describe anisocytosis in rabbit
Normal
What are rabbit neutrophils called? Why? How do these compare to eosinophils?
Pseudoeosinophils or heterophils. Red-staining granules in cytoplasm. Heterophils are smaller with smaller granules. Eosinophil nucleus is bilobed or horseshoe-shaped.
Where is AST found? (5) What can it be an indicator of? What is a similar indicator?
Heart, liver, pancreas, kidney, skeletal muscle. Indicator of tissue damage, similar to creatinine kinase found in brain, heart, and skeletal muscle.
How many isoforms of alkaline phosphatase do most mammals have? How many do rabbits have?
Two: Intestinal and liver, kidney, and bone. Rabbits have three: 1 intestinal, 2 liver and kidney
