Common Causes of Seizure
- Drugs, 2. Alcohol, 3. Non compliance with meds, 4. CNS tumor, 5. Stroke, 6. Brain Bleed, 7. Head Trauma, 8. Hypoglycemia, 9. Febrile in Peds, 10. Epilepsy, 11. Hypoxia, 12. Electrolyte Imbalances, 13. Infection/Sepsis, 14. HTN.
Serious Causes of Syncopal Episodes
- MI, 2. Cardiac Dysrhythmias, 3. CVA/TIA, 4. Hypovolemic, 5. Drug use, 6. PE, 7. Cardiac Tamponade.
Signs of Mild Allergic Reactions
Hives, Rash, Normotensive, No Bronchospasm (wheezing)
S&S of moderate allergic reactions
Hives, Rash, Bronchospasm, Normotensive
S&S of severe allergic reactions
(Hives, Rash, Bronchospasm, Normotensive) plus AMS with Hypotension (SBP <90) or evidence of hypo perfusion, Stridor.
Causes of General Weakness
flu, anemia, thyroid disease, diabetes, chf, stroke, MI, med overdose, poison
symptoms of associated with weakness
dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, difficulty speaking, changes in vision, chest pain, difficulty breathing
Signs and Symptoms of Seizure
losing consciousness, which is followed by confusion having uncontrollable muscle spasms drooling or frothing at the mouth falling having a strange taste in your mouth clenching your teeth biting your tongue having sudden, rapid eye movements making unusual noises, such as grunting losing control of bladder or bowel function having sudden mood changes
