Q

In a parallel circuit, each component gets the full benefit of the cell’s voltage so if you add more lamps will the bulbs dim?

A

No they will not do that because the current is the same around the whole circuit but the batteries will run down more quickly.

Q

Do the components of the most resistance or the least resistance draw the most current to them?

A

The components with the least resistance will draw the current to them because they need the most energy to keep them running.

Q

Will the circuit stop running if one component breaks?

A

Answer is no because electricity can flow around any complete loop so each component in a parallel circuit can be individually switched on and off and if one component breaks, components in the other loops continue working. This is an advantage of parallel circuits.
