Conducters and Insulators Flashcards
Do insulators easily let electricity flow through them?
Insulators do not easily allow electricity to flow through them.
Give two examples of the best conductors:
Copper and gold are the best, the conductors are mostly metals.
Give an example of an insulator:
Plastic is an insulator
Are the inside of wires conductors or insulators? Why?
They are conductors because electricity easily flows in and out the wire.
What is on the outside of the wire (conductors/insulators) and why?
There is an insulator (often plastic) on the outside of the wire to make sure electricity flows where it’s suppose to.
What is a conductor?
A conductor is something that allows electricity to easily flow through it.
