Papillon history

A

Elling Halvorson owned a construction company that specialized in high logistic remote areas. He was sought out to build a pipeline covering 13.5 miles of the canyon. He utilized helicopters to move huge sections of pipe vertically into the canyon. After carrying workers and guests in and out of the canyon people began to request chartered flights of the canyon.

In 1965 Grand Canyon Helicopters was opened. (Which is now Papillon inc)
