What are the features of a papilloma

A

Can occur anywhere on the skin - particularly neck, trunk, face or anus

Pedunculated swelling

Flesh-coloured

Soft to palpation

How would you treat a papilloma

A

Surgical:

  • Excise the papilloma with a sharp pair of scissors
    • Controlling bleeding with a single suture
    • Diathermy to control the bleeding
