Keep your mobile phone. Stay in groups. Wear appropriate foot wear and clothes. Watch for depth of river. Make sure its not polluted.

How would you measure the depth of a river.
A
Use a ruler Place it in the water Keep it vertical Make sure the river is touching the river bed Read where the water touches the ruler. Record.

How would you measure the width of a river.
A
Take a tape measure’
Place a ranging pole on each end of the river bank
Stretch the tape across the river from one side to the other
Keep the tape measure flat.
Measure width.
Record
