Why did Americans not want to join the league
Americans had German ancestors who hated the treaty which was enforced by League
Didn’t want to involve itself in European affairs and face US soldier deaths as a consequence
League imposed economic sanctions which could damage American trade and economy
Some though league wld be dominated by Britain and France and wld ask them to help defend their empires and many Americans opposed empires
