Ligament
What does the synovial membrane do?
lubricates the joint
What does the synovial fluid do?
lubricates joint to reduce friction
What does the Bursae do?
provides cushion between bones and tendons
What does the ligament do?
stabilises the joint and absorbs shock
What does the cartilage do?
reduces friction and rubbing between two bone ends
What is an isotonic contraction?
When muscles change length as they contract
Either concentric or eccentric
What are isometric contractions?
when muscles stay the same length as they contract
