Palpable gall bladder (because the bile duct is narrowed so a lack of flow of bile through the duct means accumulation of bile in the gall bladder» enlarged gall bladder

CA-19-9 and CEA both elevated as they are markers for pancreatic cancer

Mx? palliation and surgery? (2)

A

Palliation= if there is mets and there is no cure at all. Endoscopic stenting of bileduct to allow ease of sympotoms

Surgery= if no mets»whipple’s pancreaticoduodenalectomy
