Is there a contraindication for tetracycline staining with ledermix under 12 yrs old?

• Tetracycline staining = intrinsic so would have to ingest it, so placing it on top shouldn’t affect the teeth, also depends on stage of development (if primary tooth you’re placing it on is already there it’s already developed so won’t make a difference

Can cvek pulpotomy be done on a primary tooth?

• technically yes but process of cvek pulpotomy (LA, rubber dam, removal of pulp, assessing bleeding, placing calcium hydroxide powder etc etc) - how would you do this on a 3 year old?? COMPLIANCE
• Tend to extract the baby teeth
• FRANKL SCORE: aim of cvek is to maintain vitality and root development. When in a primary tooth is root going to be formed on upper A for example (A erupts around 8-12 months, root then forms fully 2-3yrs after so likely root is also finished anyways so is there a real benefit doing cvek?)

With IVS, is asthma or cystic fibrosis a contra indication?

• asthma not a contraindication on its own depending on severity?, may just need to be prepared in case of asthma attack ?
• Cystic fibrosis may not be appropriate here due to difficult maintaining airways - GA may be more appropriate bc can keep airways more open
