What is henoch schonlein purpura?

A

An IgA mediated small vessel vasculitis. Usually seen in children following an infection

What causes hirschsprungs disease?

A

Caused by an aganglionic segment of bowel due a developmental failure of the parasympathetic auerback and meissner plexuses.

Presents with failure to pass meconium in the newborn period and with failure to thrive/weight loss in childhood
