What are the main S/S of TT?

What are 2 DD for groin swelling?

What are 3 signs of inguinal hernia?
1) Reducible
2) Can’t get above it
3) Indirect
(Needs surgical repair)
What are the main signs of hydrocele?
1) Confined to scrotum
2) Can get above it
3) Should resolve by 2 YO
4) non-reducible
What is the hydatid?
The ‘appendix of the testicle’ - it is an embryological remnant of the Mullerian duct.
What are DD for head and neck lumps?
1) Lymphadenopathy
2) Thyroglossal cyst
3) Goitre
4) Malignancy
5) Branchial arch remnants
6) Dermoid cysts
What are the red flag signs for head/neck lumps in children?
> 2cm for >2w and enlarging
What are causes of bilious vomiting?
Volvulus.
Hirschsprung’s.
Necrotising enterocolitis.
Intussusception.
Bowel obstruction.
Strangulated hernia.
Adhesions.
What analgesia is appropriate for a paeds fracture?
Paracetamol.
