A

You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mentioned when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.

A

Searches should be carried out with courtesy, consideration and respect to maintain public confidence.

PACE Section 1 Reasonable Grounds

A

Searches must be based on reasonable suspicion formed on facts, information and intelligence.

Grounds include, behaviour, location, time of day, clothing, smells, blood, injuries, eye state/intoxication.

A reasonable person would draw the same conclusion.
