  • Reliance- in global downfall tourism can go down
  • Environmental concerns: air travel, pollution, litter, etc
  • Destroying natural habitats (rain forests, alpine)
  • Seasonal nature of tourism
  • Most wages don’t go to guides: only 9% of a typical safari holiday
