Q

What’s the conservation of energy

A

A closed system means the energy is the same before and after energy transfer. This is a conservation of energy

6
Q

How is energy transferred through a moving pendulum

A

The pendulum moves to the middle and energy is transferred through the force of gravity due to its gravitational potential energy.

As the pendulum moves to the middle the kinetic energy store decreases and it’s gravitational potential energy store increases if air resistance is small

The ball will meet the same height as the other side

Q

What is work done

A

When an objects moved by a force, work is done by the force so the force transfers energy to the object

Q

How can you calculate work done by a pulling force (3)

A

Drag a small box a measured distance on a rough surface

Repeat with 2 bands around the box

Repeat for better results
