What’s the preflight checks for the oxygen bottle ?
- Minimum 1600 psi
- Mask and tubing attached to the HI outlet
- Required number available
Identify the precautions of the oxygen administration?
- Handle with care
- Clear from naked flames
- Minimum 50 psi
- Wipe away makeup, dust, grease and oil

- Galley stowage aft 1R
- Bulkhead stowage 4L
- Bulkhead stowage 4R
- Behind Last row of seats fWd of 4L
Identify the stowage locations for o2 A320 neo
- Overhead locker stowage 1R
- Bulkhead stowage fwd of 4R
- 4R bulkhead wall
- 4L bulkhead wall
Identify the stowage locations for o2 A320 domestic
- Bulkhead stowages aft of 1R
- Overhead lockers fed of 4L
Identify the mask types on board your aircraft
- 2 yellow masks (one attached to the bottle)
Explain the difference when applying o2 to a child/infant
Child- hold mask slightly away from face
Infant- place mask next to face
Demonstrates the correct handling of the o2 bottle
Bottle strapped over the shoulder like a guitar when carrying the bottle
Demonstrates administration of oxygen
- Flight crew to be advised
- Vacate pax is required
- Turn shut off valve on
- Check o2 is flowing
- Place mask over pax face- adjust as needed
- Monitor closely
- If pac shows signs of improvement- adjust flow to 2LPM- LO
- Regular monitoring
Demonstrated how to position and secure the bottle under the seat
- Loop belts used to attach and secure bottle under seat
- padded with blankets and pillows if needed
- Indicator facing upwards
- Indicator facing out towards the aisle
- Indicator not posing as a trip hazard
The bottle is no longer required, what is your next actions
- Remove mask from pax
- Turn shut off valve
- Discard the disposable mask in general waste
- Record name and address for future reference
- Re stow bottle to original location
Identify the documentation to be completed after use
- Cabin log- completed by FA1
- Completed red tag attached to o2 bottle
