Paxcare will advise MEDA and will be discussed in pre flight briefing from FA1
Identify the two masks compatible
With this bottle
- Therapeutic mask
- Nasal cannula
Explain and demonstrate the 1-5 pulse level setting
- 1-5 pulse setting- corresponds to 1-5 litres per min (turn off valve)
- Identified by the green coloured strip on the flow selector
- Pulse- only when the pax inhales they will receive o2
Explain and demonstrate level 6-7 constant flow settings
- Level 6-7 is 2 and 4 LPM (turn off valve on)
- Identified by the white coloured strip on the flow selector
- Passenger will receive a constant flow of o2
Demonstrate how to position and secure the bottle under the seat
- Loop belts used to attach bottle to the seat bar
- Indicator facing upward
- Indicator facing out towards the aisle (for monitoring)
- Indicator not posing as a trip hazard
Explain the instructions your would give your pax
- Instruct pax to no adjust settings
- Any change request require approval from flight car
- If using nasal cannula remind passages to breath through there nose
Explain your ongoing actions after setup
- Monitor device every half hour
- Swap bottles when indicator appears in red zone
Explain restowing of used equipment
- Turn off valve
- Remove nasal cannula/mask and place in a biohazard bag
- Place all items in the hard case
- Restow in designated stowage
