The media is primarily interested in profit, which is a result of ratings audiences vote with their eyeballs if they watch it it stays on the air, if they don’t watch it it goes away (for example if no one watched Love Island it would no longer be on tv)

What is the media diversity argument?
There are so many different outlets these days (thousands of stations, tv, radio, alt newspapers, the internet) that it doesn’t really matter if only a few people own the media. There is plenty of opportunity for everyone to have a voice.
