Caribbean migrants came to Britain to work rebuilding after WWII or in the NHS

Burden of dept from WWI and WWII
Harder for Britain to defend their empire and strengthened reliance on the US instead of the Empire

Brought skilled workers to Britain who helped build successful businesses which still exist

Contributed to British economy as they brought skills in weaving etc.

Spent huge sums of money fighting crusades which led to his brother John to lose much of the Angevin Empire

Led Britain to purchase controlling stakes in the Suez Canal
