Normal pupils
Altered LoC
Anxiety
Agitation
What is the antidote to Benzodiazapines?
Flumazenil
NB only to be used in pure benzo OD
What are the four clinical features of TCA OD?
- Anticholenergic effects eg. Dry mouth, pupil dilatation, urinary retention.
- Metabolic Acidosis
- CNS symptoms, up or down
- Arrhythmias - tachy and widening of complex
What is the antidote to TCA OD?
Sodium Bicarbonate
What are the clinical features of opioid OD?
Pinpoint pupils
CNS depression
Respiratory depression
What is the antidote to opioid OD?
Naloxone
What are the clinical features of paracetamol OD?
Asymptomatic upto 3/7 then N&V, abdo pain, jaundice,
What is the antidote to paracetamol OD?
Acetylcisteine (Parvolex)
What are the clinical features of aspirin OD?
N&V, tinnitus, restlessness, sweating, bounding pulse, increased respiratory rate
What is the antidote to aspirin OD?
Sodium bicarbonate
