- gave parents the right to choose more than one school, technically giving all parents the right to choose the ‘best schools’, middle class children have more effective choice than working class parents.
- this is because middle class parents have more culture capital then WC
- they have more educational background giving them Whereas WC parents dont, so they send there kid to the local schools
- schools also have catchment areas, which means they are more likely to get MC children coming to their school
