Franz Josef sent him there (his uncle) to show off AH’s power and was seen as an insult as it was on Serbia’s national day
What did the black hand do first?
Assassins threw a bomb at the car but it bounced off and exploded under the car behind
What was the Archduke’s fatal decision?
To visit those that were injured in the hospital
Who killed the Archuduke and what happened?
Gavrilo Princip - the driver turned around outside a cafe where he was eating so he ran up to the car and shot the the Archduke and his wife Sophie

When AH sent an ultimatum to Serbia which said:
> Serbia must take full responsibility
> must get rid of any extremist groups under AH police supervision
> they were given 48 hrs to respond
> Serbian king agreed to all but the presence of AH police in Serbia
>AH broke off all comms and prepared to invade
