Me: Hi, “insert name”, I was wondering if you could help me….(calm, curious tone).
Gatekeeper: sure I can help
Me: I’m not sure if you’re the right person to talk to about “insert solution”.
Gatekeeper: Oh, that would be “insert name”
Me: Great, would it be possible for you to send me to their voicemail and I can leave them a message.
Once Person picks up…
Me: Hey “insert name’, this is just Zach Halvonik with Premier Planning. I just had a few minutes and wanted to introduce myself
LEAVING VOICEMAILS
KEY is to go back to receptionist after leaving voicemail to get information on when to call back
Example: Hi, I was wondering if you could help me for a second? I’m trying to reach Alex and I just left him a voicemail. Would you happen to know if he’s in a meeting, at lunch or on vacation by chance?
(if they don’t give an answer)
Me: That’s not a problem. do you know anyone near his desk, that might know where he is or when he might be available or have his cell phone handy?
Leaving voicemail (leave voicemail after 2nd attempt at calling them)
Hi alex, this is Zach Halvonik. I was wondering if you could help me out for a moment? I’m not sure if you’re the right person or not, but I am trying to reach the person who’s responsible for looking to see whether “insert problem”. If that’s something you/your company could be experiencing, you are welcome to call me back. My number is xxxxxxx and I should be available here for a little while today if you’d like to reach me. (creates urgency)
LEAVING VOICEMAIL WITH LEADS
Hi John, you spoke to my associate/responded to an ad online, about possibly “getting higher return, protecting your principal, protecting family”. I was calling you back to see if I could possibly help you. My phone number is xxxxxx. I should be available here for a little bit today if you’d like to reach me. Talk then.
Outbound leads that received information Call
Me; Hey John, this is just Zach Halvonik with Premier Planning. You had recently asked us to send you information on xxxxx, and I just had time to get back to you to see if I could actually help. Is this an appropriate time?
Q: Now I should probably ask you, have you found what you’re looking for, or are you still looking?
Q; I was just curious, what was it about the ad that attracted your attention? (telling themselves, and me)
Q:That’s not a problem, and I can go through a few details if you’d like. It might be appropriate, I guess, if I knew a little more about you, and how your current financial picture, to see if I could even help you in the first place. For example, how are you currently managing your investments and safer interest yielding assets?
