Pulmonary Contusion;
Blood in the ? space, usually due to ? trauma.
Characterised by worsening ? over 24 hours as the ? spreads.

Aortic Disruption;
Can occur as a result of severe ?-? injury.

? of the myocardium, usually occurs with ? wheels injuries or ? fractures.

Treatment is ?
bruising steering sternal MI conservative
Tetanus prophylaxis for open wounds;
Clean minor wounds
o Tetanus ? required if uncertain ? history, or >? years since last dose.
All other wounds.
o Including those with any ?, ?, missile wounds.
• Give tetanus booster unless has one in last ? years.

Pelvic injuries
Pelvic disruption is a high force injury, thus often ass w visceral and vascular injuries;
o ?, ? and ? trauma
o ? arteries/ ? vein injuries cause massive haemorrhage.
? bimanual ? of the iliac wings ? produce pain.
?? XR will show 90% of injuries.
