Gonadal
Inferior Mes
Median Sacral
Lumbar
Inferior phrenic arteries: Paired parietal arteries arising posteriorly at
T12.
Coeliac artery is located where?? It is also known as the celiac trunk and supplies (Branches)
T12.
the liver, stomach, abdominal oesophagus, spleen, the superior duodenum and the superior pancreas.
left gastric, splenic and common hepatic arteries
Superior mesenteric artery Supplies??
distal duodenum, jejuno-ileum, ascending colon and part of the transverse colon. It arises at the lower level of L1
Superior Mesenteric artery? vetebral level?
L1
Middle suprarenal arteries: where, and supply?
L1 to supply the adrenal glands.
Renal arteries: where, and supply?
L1 and L2. They supply the kidneys.
Gonadal arteries: Where and Supply?
L2.
Note that the male gonadal artery is referred to as the testicular artery and in females, the ovarian artery.
Inferior mesenteric artery: Where and supplies?
L3. It supplies the large intestine from the splenic flexure to the upper part of the rectum.
Median sacral artery: Where and supplies?
L4 to supply the coccyx, lumbar vertebrae and the sacrum.
Lumbar arteries: Where and supplie?
L1- L4 to supply the abdominal wall and spinal cord.
Right Phrenic Nerve pathway?
lateral part of the right subclavian artery, Pierces the diaphragm at the inferior vena cava opening.
Innervates the inferior surface of the diaphragm. T8
What passes through diaphragm at t8
The inferior vena cava. and Right phrenic artery
left Phrenic Nerve pathway?
Pierces and innervates the inferior surface of the diaphragm.
Pierces and innervates the inferior surface of the diaphragm.
At the base of the neck, the nerve enters the thorax, where the right and left vagus nerve travels on a different path Right? Left?
R: crossing the first part of the subclavian artery and posterior to the innominate artery
L: passing between the left common carotid and left subclavian arteries, then travels behind the primary left bronchus and into the esophagus
The anterior triangle is situated at the front of the neck. It is bounded:
Superiorly – inferior border of the mandible (jawbone).
Laterally – anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid.
Medially – sagittal line down the midline of the neck.
