Context: Iago has just questioned Bianca and asked Emilia to go inform Othello and Desdemona about what happened.
Significance: Here, Iago is saying that this is the moment that will either make me or break me. Even though he is extremely confident in his plan, this shows that he is smart enough to know that something can still go wrong and he can still make a mistake. He is in a fragile and delicate spot, and he still needs to make calculated decisions.

Context: Othello is watching her sleep, getting ready to kill her.
Significant: 1) The first light that he’s talking about is that he needs to do this in the dark because he doesn’t want to see his own hands smothering her. The second light is a metaphor for ending Desdemona’s life.

: Desdemona already made it clear that she intends on going to heaven. And Othello is making sure that she repents, and he is begging her to atone for her sins, to seek forgiveness because he wants to make sure that if he kills her, she does get to go to heaven, which is where she wants to go.

: She needed to go tell Desdemona and Othello that Cassio was hurt, that Roderigo was dead and that Bianca might be the one responsible for Cassio being injured.
Why would it be important if the public knows that he is the one responsible for this? (Question) ⭐️⭐️
Because this is important for his image. It shows the public that he can control her, that he disciplined her for doing something wrong, and that he completed the task, which benefits him as the leader of the army.
What are the two things that Emilia reveals after her husband tells her to be quiet or he’s going to kill her? (2 things, Question) ⭐️⭐️
: 1) Emilia reveals she was the one who actually found the handkerchief, and gave it to Iago. 2) Emily also reveals that Iago constantly begged for her to steal it to emphasize Iago has something to do with handkerchief.

Context: He is preparing to kill himself. He is so overcome with grief and guilt, and has realized that there is no going back from this. He says this before he dies.
Significance: Here, Othello says that when you talk about what happened, first, don’t downplay what I did. Don’t have pity or sympathy, and make it sound like less than the awful, horrendous crime that it was. But, also don’t exaggerate what happened either. Relay the exact facts of this story.
What is the significance of the song that Desdemona and Emilia sang when they are dying? (2 things, Question) ⭐️⭐️
: The lyrics talk about a love that was false. 1) One significance has to do with the fact that obviously she sings this song because she recognizes her and her husband’s love is not a true love. 2) The other significance is that she is echoing the false love that existed between Othello and Desdemona.
What does Roderigo reveal with his letters? (2 things, Question) ⭐️⭐️
: One of those letters says Cassio needs to be killed and the person who needs to undertake it is Roderigo. The other letter has all the information about Iago’s whole plan with his anger. Cassio also learned in this letter how Iago is planning to get Cassio to lose his job.

context: After Othello has given his final story died, Lodovico is speaking to Iago.
Significance: He is speaking to Iago, saying the entire responsibility is on Iago, and placing the blame on Iago for everything gone wrong.
Iago is the kind of person that “object posions sight”, meaning he ruins everything he touches. He is that type of manipulative, heinous person that ruins.
