average stay 7-21 days, strict minute delivery (30-90 minute sessions), 1-2x/day for 5-7d/week
Inpatient/skilled Rehab - SNF vs inpatient
SNF has longer stays, less intensive, patients typically are more medically stable, but still have decreased strength/endurance
Outpatient role
specialize in specific rehab areas, assist in restore/regaining function and independence
Outpatient treatment options
Physical and complementary/alternative modalities, activity modification, health ed, IADLs, therapeutic activities/exercises, manual techniques, kinesiotape
Telehealth role
deliver OT services via technology, promote access to health services, give insight into home environment, emphasis on client education
