A teen presents with a Cobb angle of 40 and still has growth to do. What is the recommendation?
A
The general indications for bracing are curves between 30° and 50° in adolescents with substantial growth remaining.
- Note initiating bracing for a girl >6months post menarche is uncommonly indicated
- If no growth remaining, monitor

A teen presents with a Cobb angle of 50. What do you do?
A
Refer to orthopedics for consideration of posterior spinal fusion/other surgical intervention.

What is the typical positioning of a patient with SCFE?
A
Restricted flexion, abduction and internal rotation
-Obligate external rotation with hip flexion

What are the indications for further evaluation of a sacral dimple?
A
- Multiple dimples
- Dimple diameter >5mm
- Location >2.5cm above the anal verge
- Association of the dimple with other cutaneous markers
