- Femoral neck fracture, intertrochanteric fracture, and subtrochanteric fracture
- Femoral and intertrochanteric are the most common

A
- Evaluation of previously enjoyed activities before the hip fracture. Important to incorporate these into the acute stage of treatment
- Restrictions regarding weight bearing and hip movement depends on the severity and location of the hip fracture, integrity of the bone, clients weight, and cognitive status

A
- Non-weight bearing = 0%
- Touch down = 10-15%
- Partial = 30%
- 50% weight bearing
- Full weight bearing = 75-100%

A
Those who are non-weight bearing or touch are required to sit during ADLs
WBAT client’s can stand while grooming

A
- No hip flexion beyond 90
- No hip rotation
- No crossing the operate leg over the unoperated leg
- No adduction of the operated leg
