What is an Orthographic?
Orthographic means to draw what you would see looking square on to an object.
What is an ELEVATION?
The ELEVATION is what you would see looking at the front of any object (square on). You would get a flat 2D image showing the height and the length of the object.
What is an END ELEVATION?
The END ELEVATION is what you would see looking at the side of any object (square on). You would get a flat 2D image showing the height and the depth of the object.
What is a PLAN?
The PLAN is what you would see looking from directly above any object (square on). You would get a flat 2D image showing the length and the depth of the object.
What is a Summary of Orthographic Views?
•Orthographic views are 2D
•They show objects from the front, side and above.
•The ELEVATION is drawn right beside the END ELEVATION.
•The PLAN is drawn directly above the ELEVATION.
