What are the symptoms of carpel tunnel, how is it diagnosed and managed?

Answer 1

W:
- age, 3F:M, pregnancy
- overuse

Sx:
- Numbness, night, pain, clumsy
Ex:
- Wasting, sensation, tinnel/phalen
- Durkans = best. press for 30s
Dx:
- Clinical: numb m nerve, nocte, weakness / atrophy. Postive tests.
USS/NCS confirms

Ddx: ulnar tunnel, cervical, AIN compression

MX:
1. NSAID, night splint, activity mod
2. Steroid injection (80% improve)
3. Surgery if fails, or post trauma
