Organizational Leadership
The primary aim of organizational leadership
To create an environment that facilitates the effective delivery of education, the growth and development of staff, and the overall success of the organization.
Key aspect of organizational leadership.
- Creating a vision and communicating that vision to stakeholders.
- This involves setting goals and objectives that align with the country or institution’s mission for education and developing strategies to achieve those goals.
-Leaders must also be able to effectively communicate with staff, educators, parents, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about the agency’s progress, goals, and directives.
Was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman.

The Governance of Basic Education act of 2001
It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.

Two major structural components of DepEd
Central Offices and Field Offices
It maintains the overall administration of basic education at the national level.
Central Offices
It provides that the Department should have no more than four (4) Undersecretaries and four (4) Assistant Secretaries with at least one Undersecretary and one Assistant Secretary who are career service officers chosen among the staff of the Department.

Are responsible for the regional and local coordination and administration of the Department’s mandate.
Field Offices
Also known as the New Organizational Structures of the Central, Regional, and Schools Division Offices of the Department of Education.
