What does the guard cells do?
Control the opening and closing of the stomata
What triggers the growth of new cells?
Meristem tissue
What is the Palisade mesophyll tissue?
A tissue composed of a single layer of long cells just under the upper epidermis

Translocation is the movement of dissolved sugars
What’s Transpiration?
Transpiration is the evaporation if water from the leaves
What’s the difference between the atria and ventricles?
The atria has a thin wall compared to the ventricles
What does the arteries do?
Carry blood away from the heart
What does the veins do?
Carry blood to the heart
What do the capillaries do?
Capillaries transport blood from arteries to every body cell, and then into the veins
