communicable diseases cause symptoms which let you know we have the disease

Exposes your immune system to a particular pathogen that it can develop antibodies to fight it
What are antibodies?
Antibodies destroy pathogens by binding to then and causing the to be cut open
What’s an antitoxin?
Antitoxins can detect and bind to toxins, neutralising them which makes the less harmful
What do antibiotics do?
Treat bacterial infections
What do steroids do?
increase muscle growth
What do stimulants i.e caffeine do?
Become more alert and increase concentration

Reduce blood cholesterol
What do painkillers do?
relieve the symptoms of disease
What does thalidomide do?
Treats leprosy
What’s a non communicable disease?
A disease that she not caused by pathogen
What’s a benign tumour?
A growth of abnormal cells which are contained in one area
What’s a malignant tumour?
Malignant tumour is cancerous which invade neighbouring tissue and spread to different part of the body in the blood
