What are cells?
The basic building blocks that make up all living organisms.

They can carry out particular functions.
What is a tissue?
A group of similar cells that work together to carry out a function.
What is an organ?
It is a group of different tissues that work together to perform a certain function.
What is an organ system?
A group of organs working together to perform a particular function.
What is a catalyst?
A catalyst is a substance that INCREASES the speed of a reaction, without being CHANGED or USED UP in a reaction.
What are enzymes?
Enzymes are all large proteins and all proteins are made up of chains of amino acids.
What is an active site
A unique type of substrate has to bind to the active site to be catalyzed.
Where are amylase made?
