Q

Describe the climate and wines of Southern Oregon and the main AVAs.

A

Southern Oregon - lies south of the Willamette Valley. It encompasses the Umpqua Valley and Rogue Valley and other AVAs.
Warmer than the Willamette Valley, there are cooler areas on hillsides and valleys so cool and warm climate varieties can be grown here such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Syrah.
