How many acting BFC’s may be on-duty at one time? Who’s responsibility, and who may override?
No more then 3 at one time. It is the Operations Deputy’s responsibility. Specific authority must be obtained from the Operations Assistant FC to exceed this limit.
Who is designated at the property officer?
In a double house, the Truck Captain. Engine Captain every where else.
The left side of the personnel file will be in the following order.
FD Form 119 on the bottom, FD Form 175 middle, FD Form 9 on top.
What form shall accompany an FD Form 9?
Form OBMS-90 in duplicate, and forwarded to the Human Resources Office
FD Form 14 is required for?
Any member engaged in outside employment paid, or unpaid/volunteer.
How should complaints be resolved?
At the lowest possible level of the chain of command. Only when such efforts prove futile will the matter be referred to the next highest level.
If a citizen believes they have been injured and/or their property damaged by the DCFD they must-

Summons
A legal document notifying a person summoned that an action has been initiated against him or her in the court where the summons was issued.
Subpoena
A legal notice to a witness to appear and give testimony at the place, date, and time specified.
Deposition
A document informing a witness of the intention to pursue and discover a matter involved in a lawsuit through the taking of testimony under oath.
What happens with a members personnel jacket when they retire, resign, or are separated from the service for any reason?
It will promptly be forwarded to the Inventory/Records management located at logistics. (Attention Inventory Records Management Assistant)
Company Officer Daily Checklist
Form 55, found on the LAN
The company file cabinet-
- Top drawer contains A-K
- Second drawer contains L-Z Misc stationery items may be kept in the top 2 drawers
- Third drawer contains peoplesoft records
- The fourth and fifth drawer will include all executed reports, forms, and other correspondence.
Official personnel file folders are-
Maintained on all personnel of the department by the Servicing Personnel Office No. 2 of the DC Office of Personnel
What is a Form 99
Used when the original is filed under another heading or is not available. It will include the subject, date, and location of the original.
