A

They’re associated with, but not UC itself.
Tend to be apthous ulcers… but there’s no pathognomonic oral lesion.
Angular cheilitis happens too…

If present in a child, they’re strongly suggestive of HNPCC aka. Lynch Syndrome.
(they themselves don’t cause problems)

A

Lots of “snail-track” pustules, ulcerations on the lips / oral cavity.
Can be manifestation of IBD or GI malignancy.
(surprisingly not as uncomfortable as it looks)

A

Treat the GI disease, systemic corticosteroids

Can acanthosis nigricans be associated with malignancy?

A

Yep - it’s not just seen in diabetes.

And it can also cause crazy lip crustiness.
