How are the landing gear locked in the down position?
by locking mechanisms internal to the gear actuator.
Is there a back-up system for landing gear extension?
Yes, the up-locks are released mechanically with cables (also pneumatically with nitrogen)
If one of the landing gear does not release from its up-lock when pulling and rotating the emergency gear extension T-handle, is there any other way to release the gear from the up-lock?
Yes, nitrogen from the emergency air bottle will release the up-lock and extend the gear.
If the emergency mechanical up-lock release fails to release the gear, how can the gear be extended?
Firing the blow-down bottle will route nitrogen to the hydraulic up-lock actuators to release them before blowing the gear down.
If one of the landing gear lights does not illuminate, how do you know if the landing gear is down and locked?
