Oral Exam Gouge Flashcards
On BATT Light ADIRS Panel
- Self test during full alignment
- one or more IR are on BATT Power
GEN 1 LINE (lights)
SMOKE
OFF
SMOKE: smoke detected in avionics bay
OFF: Disconnects Generator 1 from AC BUS 1. A fuel pump in each wing Tank is powered by Generator one. AC BUS 1 powered by Gen 2…
FAC Functions (5) Think of PFD
Flight Augmentation Computer (LOOK @ PFD! 1Beta target = 2rudder, 3Windshear, 4speed tape symbology, bottom of speed tape is 5Alpha Floor Protections)
-Beta Target (single engine)
-Rudder (CATT)
Coordination and Damping (Normal law)
Alternate Yaw

Fault in IR
-Flashing (amber)
Attitude and Heading may be recovered using ATT mode
IR Align Light
IR 1/2/3 Align Light
Steady (white)
-Normal during alignment (approx 10 minutes)
Flashing (white)
- no position entered within 10 minutes
- bad position

MAN
AUTO 2 Auto modes/ CPCs automatically transfer control:
-70 seconds after each landing
-if operating system fails
Deselect for 10 seconds may switch AUTO system being used
FAULT Light (amber) Both Auto systems failed
MAN Light (white) Activates MAN V/S CTL toggle switch
DITCHING BUTTON
ICloses:
- Avionics Ventilation inlet valve - Avionics Ventilation extract valve - Both Pack flow control valves - Ram Air Inlet valve - Outflow valve (if under Auto control)
If the Manual Cabin Px Push button is being used, will the outflow Valve still be usable after ditching button is pushed?
Yes
It will still be manually controlled

When do you need an Alternate ?
+/- 1 Hour
– 2000’ Ceiling
– 3SM Vis
Marginal Weather – dest&alt = within 100’ & 1/2 of Cat I minimums = 2nd alternate.
Method 2 Dispatch – 2000 feet clearance within 5 SM either side of course/ -Method 1 must be used for T/O Alternate
Offline Charter/Flag/Supplimental
International Ops OR a flight over 6hrs flt time(VOL-I 35.20)
Severe Icing
Takeoff Alternate = if dept airport vis is < Cat I landing minimums.
RNAV/GPS
3585 – exemption 3585 can’t be dispatched internationally
MEL CATEGORIES? What does FCP mean in MEL book.
A- as specified
B- three days
C- ten days
FCP =flight crew placard
