Release paperwork?

A

Valid for 1 hour, can block out > 10 min early with Disp. coordination
o ARTR required – >1 hour, MEL change, alternate change, >100 nm from planned
Crew change (supp’l ops any, or all if CA change after signed)
Fuel change (>2000#, < than brake release)
o Received – Ftweb, phone, radio, or ACARS (write changes, ARTR#, time, & DISP initials)
o Acknowledgment – Required to be valid (ACARS / radio to DISP or company agent)
o New TLR – Required when QNH > .10” below PQNH or for TOGA t/o when OAT > plan max temp

When do you need an alternate? (123 MMOISTTRS 3585)

A

-1 2 3 rule
-Method 2 (2000’/5)
-Marginal conditions – (within 100’ or 1⁄2 sm of CAT I dest mins and derived mins alt)
-Offline Charter
-International flights or > 6 hours
- Severe Icing
- T/O (< CAT I landing mins)(1 hr, normal cruise, still air, SE, ≤330nm)
- TS +-1 hour eta
- RNAV Only approach

3585- Flight can be dispatched to destination or an alternate airport when conditional “BECMG” , “PROB” , “TEMPO” in the remarks section. release must show dispatched under exemption 3585.

– Destination airport, 1/2 the visibility required for the instrument approach to be used
-1st Alternate, not less than 1/2 the required derived alternate mins ceiling and visibility for airport.
- 2nd alternate, at or above derived minimums for that airport.

Frontier Minimums

A

o Landing: A/C can do 300/300/300, check chart for actual
o Takeoff: opspecs allow 500/500/500, check back of 10-9 for runway actual
o Alternate: check 10-9 for rwy NA, if none, use derived (200’/1⁄2 (800m), 400’/ 1 (1600m)

Minimum Battery Voltage

A

25.5 volts, to ensure charge >50%, must be off to check.
- If < 25.5v, charge with ext. power (approx. 20 min)
