A
Combination Pills:
Prevent ovulation: Suppress the release of eggs from the ovaries.
Thicken Cervical Mucus: Makes it harder for sperm to enter the uterus.
Alter Endometrial Lining: Makes the uterine lining less suitable for implantation.
Progestin-Only Pills:
Thicken Cervical Mucus: Similar to combination pills.
Thins Endometrial Lining: Reduces the likelihood of implantation.
May inhibit ovulation: Less consistently than combination pills.
