A speech context that involves a speech that is televised or shown in the media through many mediums (radio, tv, YouTube)
Mass
A distinctive way of communicating
speech style
A speech style used between individuals who are close that do not need clear articulation, and complete language
Intimate
A speech style used among friends, and coworkers, that is informal and conversational. Uses jargon and slang, or the vernacular language.
Casual
A speech style that employs semi-formal language, concise sentences and inquiry. Asking questions or clarification with someone of higher authority or knowledge.
Consultative
A speech style used in formal settings which is one way
Formal
A speech style which is the most formal level of speaking, characterized by a harsh tone, complex sentences and vocabulary. Used in very formal settings such as religious rituals, court proceedings. and ceremonies.
Frozen
The ability to use proper grammar and being able to follow language rules to convey a message.
Grammatical Competence
The ability to overcome difficulties in communicating.
Strategic Competence
The ability to use appropriate language in the proper context.
Sociolinguistic Competence
Sending or receiving a message across two different cultures

The ability to be aware of a sound
