What NOTAM documents are to be reviewed prior to flight?
A
- The condition and suitability of the destination airfield.
- All head office and FIR NOTAMS for the route flown.
- GPS outages promulgated by NOTAM.
- Company NOTAMS promulgated on intranet
- Internal Company Notices (ICNs)

Can RFDS plan VFR?
A
No, All flights to be conducted IFR unless authorised by OSP. The PIC will not accept a change to VFR if offered by ATC, nor an entry to an airfield via a VFR reporting point.

What authorised WX forecasts are required?
A
Flights will obtain an airfield (when available) and GAF for the destination and alternate where applicable.

When can you depart without a destination forecast?
A
- Provided the pilot is satisfied that present weather will allow the safe return of the aircraft within 1 hour of departure. The flight is permitted to continue to destination provided a destination forecast can be obtained prior to 30 minutes after departure.
- An alternate (with a firm forecast) is planned.
