When and why did tThe Kapp Putsch?
March 1920
The wolfgang Kapp and the Freikorp leaders attempted to overthrow the government. They took over berlin and most of the govt fled. It looked as if Germany had a new government, however the trade unions called a general strike, demanding an end to the putsch and a new government.
When did and why dd the Munich Putsch take place?
November 1922
Mussolini held the march on Rome, that brought Mussolini to power. Hitler decided to mount a similar Nazi takeover of Germany. On 8th November the SA surrounded a large beer hall in Munich where a lot of officials were meeting. Hitler then crashed it and announced that they were taking over. However, they slowly started to escape and informed the police.

Anti - Nazi campaigns: In 1933 the SPD group Red Shock Group, published a newspaper about every 10 days that were anti-nazi. They built up a membership of around 3000.
Saboatge: Workers sabotaged the Nazis in a variety of ways. They held lightning strike that usually lasted for about few hours. Workers would damage machinery or report being sick.
.Disobedience: Some young people did not join Hitlers Youth. Instead they went to clubs to listen to ‘cool’ music such as swing and Jazz. The Nazis made arrests but occasionally left these groups alone.
How many attempts were there to assassinate Hitler and which was the most serious?
There were 15 known attempts.
The most serious plot was the July Plot of 1944. It was an attempt by the German army to take over the government and negotiate the end of the war with the Allies.

Young People who objected the year 0 policy that helped Adenauer rebuild Germany and wanted to know what their parents did in the war and what happened.

The APO became partly because of the distrust of young intellectuals for the established conservative government and partly because their was no left wing parties to absorb them after the KPD was banned.

The SDS had been a part of the SPd but broke away because they thought the SPD was becoming less radical
