Gypsies were discriminated against because they moved around, and didn’t contribute to the country by working.

They were a growing number of laws to exclude Jews from many areas of life. Anyone with 3 or 4 grandparents was Jewish. So a catholic nun whose parents had been Jewish was still considered Jewish.

9th November 1938 and over 260 synagogues were burned and Jewish owned shops and homes were attacked.
What was the first option the Nazis gave the Jews?
The Nazis encouraged Jews to get away and leave Germany. They took a flight tax of 30 - 50% of their wealth. However only around 45,000 left.
Who were the Einsatzgruppen and what did they do?
They were a special ss unit and their official job was to root out Polish political resistance and kill them. They murdered about 2 million Jews.

A slum area, occupied by a minority group or groups.
