what does DNA CPR stand for

if a patient goes into cardiac arrest and you dont know if they have a DNA CPR. what do you do?
start CPR
if you find a DNA CPR - stop
HAVE to inform family that CPR was started
what do you do if a severly unwell patient want CPR against doctors wishes
leave respect form blank
escalate up to senior IMMEDIATELY
push for resus or ITU bed
if a doctor decides a patient is not for CPR do they have to tell family
NO
HAVE to ATTEMPT to communicate with family. But ultimately doctors decision. Still have to try and inform them
if a patient had a DNR from previous admission is it valid
not necessarily - have to re confirm the decision
